Road Trip

Spider Monkey had to attend the open house at University Of Buffalo so we packed the car & cooler then  headed out. What an adventure it was leaving Friday at 12am and arriving at 7:15am.

It was a six hour drive going and Hunky made it straight through with only 3 potty breaks. I have to say the trip was a killer because of the long ride but we did have a great time together. It gave us time to talk with our baby who will be leaving us in about 10 months. Please hand the hankie over right about now lol.

Hunky, Spider Monkey and I were not at all impressed with the school. It seemed to us they lack security and the school itself did not represent itself well at all. We happen to be one of the early birds who were lost on campus because there were no flyers or information personnel to let us know where we should meet.

This school was give two stars out of five from us. One positive came out of this....my baby girl won't be living six hours away Wooooowhooooo.

Here are some pics from our little road trip.

Mellow Yellow Monday #37

Princess was smelling the flowers while waiting for the school bus. The funny thing is that right next to her was a slug so this picture captures her enjoying the flowers and not even a second later she jumped up and screamed. Funny how things can be so calm and in a split second it can change. I'm still laughing now.

Sunday Stealing Fall Meme 9/27/09

http://reesspace.blogspot.com/

I normally would never expose myself like this but I just couldn't resist.
This picture was taken yesterday after traveling for over six hours in the car.

We drove up to Buffalo so that my daughter could make it to Buffalo University's open house. Does the pic state my feeling of pure exhaustion? After leaving home Friday at 12:0am and returning Saturday at 8:00pm I was just beat and glad to reacquainted with my comfy bed.

Friday -56

http://storytimewithtonya.blogspot.com/

At least when I was a social failure, I had a conscience.

This read was in the young adult section. I purchased it for my daughters.
The 5th sentence alone is so strong can't wait to get started.

Dave Pelzer is the author of this book. He has also written,  A Child called "It".

My First Win

Oh my goodness I can't contain myself!!! As I am typing I'm laughing and enjoying the fact that I won my first Give Away at  http://reesspace.blogspot.com/. Lucky number 16 hey I might even play the numbers today lol. Another lucky winner and I get to pick any photo that we like and the company will convert it into a sticker poster.  Isn't that awesome?

I am going to go with a picture of my family so that my husband can stick it on his desk at work. His frames always seem to fall and break because of the piles of paper work and gadgets on his desk.

Wish it could be a normal thing just to go out onto my deck and scream, "Hey I Won, I Won"!
I had a hell of a week this week so this truly made my day. My weekend is off to a great start so please all enjoy your weekend.

Lather Up, Laugh It Up, And Have A Colorful Day

http://6a8a42a4.linkbucks.com/url/http://thursdaythunks.blogspot.comhttp://6a8a42a4.linkbucks.com/url/http://thursdaythunks.blogspot.com/
Welcome to the September 24th version of Thursday Thunks!

(which we always seem to post on Wednesday)
Where we make you think
a little bit before you blog!
This week we will answer some crazy questions brought to you by Kimber, the number 1172007 and the color of the walls in an asylum.

1. Does soap or shampoo have to really lather up for you to feel that it cleaned throughly?

Oh yes, if it does no lathering then I won't feel squeaky clean. Also I need to smell the soap on my body.  Crazy but it's Meeeeeee.

2. Do you have a long standing joke with someone that you still laugh about every time you talk to that person?

I would have to say yes to that one and it's pretty disgusting but we have laughs about it till this day.

3. Share something that happened to you this past week that was unusual.

Unusual let's see a very nice person offered to buy my tea in the morning. Now this is unusual because this has happened two times in one week by two different people.  I won't complain but next time I should try holding a sandwhich in my hand.

4. If you dropped a purple crayon and a green crayon off a roof, which would melt faster in the sun?

I'm going to run with the green.

5. You are standing in line (grocery store, bank, etc.), and someone gets in line behind you that stinks. The stink is so bad that people in line in front of you turn around and look to see if you are the one causing the stink. Do you cover your nose, hold your breath, breathe through your mouth or just get out of line altogether?

Knowing me I would turn around and look back as well. If the odor was really bad I would get off the line.

6. If you dropped your cell phone in the toilet, would you fish it out? If so, how much soap would you use to wash your hands afterwards?

If it's in my bathroom or some one that I know and know they are clean I would remove it. Ajax would most likely be my bf for a few hours.

7. Sydney Australia dust storm (link). How long do you think it would take you to clean your house after that sort of dust storm?

I don't know because I wouldn't be the one cleaning it. Cleaning service over here!!!!

8. Do you think you can dance?

Yes yes yes and yes.

9. You are out to eat and someone across the room is staring at you. Do you get paranoid, try to ignore them, or go find out why they are staring at you?

Not at all paranoid just put some more lip gloss and bat my eye lashes. If it's a woman I guess I'm wearing something nice and my hair looks good. If it's a male then it's a huge compliment.

These feet belong to My Charm. As she was sitting in front of me I thought of the little feet I use to kiss when she was just a little girl. Then moments later I told myself boy those are some big feet now. I couldn't help but to laugh aloud and told her my thought. I  have to say I still love those feet!!!!

Wordless Wednesday Sept. 23, 2009

http://www.wordlesswednesday.com/

This a pumpkin that was accidentally growing on our property. I for got about 2 years ago to throw out one of the pumpkins that we had purchased for Halloween. No don't say yuck or gross lol it happen to fall off the deck and it was a forgotten story. A year later we started to see this funny looking plant that Hunky didn't not want to pull from the ground. We let grow to see what would come about and no sooner a Pumpkin sprouted out.. The kids were happy and we were amazed because it was a total freak accident. Since then we tried to plant a few and nothing has happen lol.

Sicky Pooo

My Charm has been home for the past two days tomorrow will make the third. I hate seeing her in pain and not being able to take it away makes me feel worse. Her doctor thinks maybe it can be a cyst so he is sending her for sono in the am. I didn't even think of that being she is so young. I am going to do some research on the topic and see what I come up with. I'm no doctor but I would like to know the lingo before I head over to the dr. again.

Ohhh Man

Oh man!!!! Is right I had the day from hell yesterday. My morning was off to a great start and then I should have known. My cell singles that I have a text who is it you ask. It was Spider Monkey letting me know that she forgot to have me sign her application for Honors Society. Alright so I go because my baby did work hard to get this. Follow me here please :P I get to the school and there walks through Spider Monkey with a huge smile and gives me a greatful hug that made me not want to choke her for having me drive over the mountain.

Now I'm off in my car at the light and think hey I deserve a treat. Hmmmmm girl  a $350.00 treat,  I shopped and shopped and I stuffed it all happily into my minivan. At this point I'm getting ready to meet my friend that I haven't had a chance to sit n chat with in while. Mind you I'm still feeling good. I ordered my food and I'm enjoying the convo my girlfriend and I are having. It's time to go and we say our goodbyes, give the hugs and smooches then I'm off.

Here I am full of happiness because I had my shop fix and my excitement is building up to spread my bags and view my new additons. Huge smile on my face and then the bomb hit me when I saw instead two huge dogs who esaped from their crates. My precious Mastiffs broke out and destroyed the house. No not just garbage they had the nerve to twinkle on my walls. Can you believe it??? My WALLS you know the things that hold up my pictures. Can you beleive it????? They left gifts behind in each room and not the ones that I can wear LOL.

My table was turned over garbage was tossed through out the house. What to do??? Call Hunky and chew him out poor guy it wasn't even his fault. I cried, screamed and cussed and had no words for the rest of the day because I then locked my car keys in the house.

I was even more upset that I was not able to post for Yellow Mellow Monday.

It didn't

I love how my camera captured how well they work together. It was a beautiful day as they were the only ones on the beach that day.

Who Needs The Zoo

Prince N Princess

If it's one thing about my children they love playing together. Their age difference does not bother them the least bit. Here they are earlier in the jungle all they needed were their safari outfits.

It's a Jungle out there!!!

Hunky took the time to come down to the jungle and join in on the fun.

My Hunky

Today I had someone call me a spoil brat but I am not spoil nor a brat far from it.

It was said that Hunky gives me all but the thing is he gives to me and also loves me.
Yes, in fact my Hunky treats me like a princess. He takes care of me with every part of him from cleaning up my vomit when I'm sick to wrapping my feet up when I'm just sitting on the couch..
He helps with the kids and cleaning up. This is what a good husband does. Isn't it? So I do not think that in no way counts me as a "Spoiled Brat". That's called having a good partner.

Am I wrong? We do for each other that is a marriage.

Since I am speaking of Hunky let me just add that his touch drives a spark in the curve my spine and his kisses make me melt. We mostly all say we have the perfect mate but my Hunky is the best.
I tell you we can argue and afterwards he has listen to what I was trying to get across. He's had my soul for over 19 years now and I hope with God willing we will have many years and a lifetime together.

His surprises are the best but his smell by far beats the gifts. I love that Hunky of mine.

A Thousand Words Thursday

Prince riding his new bike my big boy.

Odd Girl Out

http:www.barnesnoble.com

My BF told me about this book and I have to say it was a very good book.
This author spoke with over 200 girls, recorded heartbreaking acts of hostile aggression between girls. This book hits the point on how silent treatment, note-passing, staring, gossiping, ganging up, and how girls want to be the fashion police, and then want to be nice in private and be so sos so mean in public. She decodes the stock of words and these sneaky assaults. It was a great read and I am suggesting it for anyone who has a daughter, niece, family member or friend that has a daughter. You will even go back and examine your school age years wheather you were the picker or the picked on one. I have spoken about this book to my some of my friends and posted it on my status on Facebook.

Halloween

I'm so excited the kids are talking about what they want to be for Halloween. I really take delight in watching the kids choose a costume and watching them get the house ready with decor. The whole bit makes me smile although I don't allow my kids to eat all the candy that is collected they still enjoy the door to door knocking.
My nine year old Princess is going back and fourth and I can see it now that she is out of the little princess dress-up theme. That's OK with me but I wonder just what changes their little minds from Fairy Tales and Dragon Tales to wanting the bigger kid costumes. My little Prince well he's stuck on being a superhero. That's right mover over Diego YYY oh Y!!!!
So since he wants to be a superhero and I want to still see a little boy we are meeting on mutual grounds lol. Yes, I am working deals with a 5 year old.
I mentioned to him that he could have 2 costumes he can go ahead and be that superhero that saves the world on Halloween n then be a box of POP CORN for the town parade. He was floored and it made me laugh. So how's that for team work? Now if I can just get my Princess to be a box of candy we can have a tasty treat for the theater. Hmmmm do you think bribery will work lol ????

Another School Year

That's correct another new school year begins. The last of my children has left off to start on a new adventure into Kindergarten. He's loving every bit of it but he doesn't even have a clue as to how much I miss him. I'm cheering him on but I'm secretly hurting inside because he's no longer part of my whole day. I am no longer the one who is teaching him and I'm no longer the one who he needs to speak with during the day. His teacher plays that roll now and it's breaking me into pieces.

This little prince of mine comes down from the steps of the yellow school bus so independent yet still runs to give me a big hug and kiss. I feel his little hand in mine as we walk to our van and I stop and tell myself can I just hold this moment. Will he always know I'm his biggest fan????

Like I said earlier he loves school and looks forward to his bus ride each morning. So I will continue to send him off and wave at him as he sits with his friends and rides the big yellow bus.

The Big Yellow Bus
