Twilight

Let me introduce you to my new leading man, "Edward" that is after my husband of course. Hmmmm, Boy to think I did not even want to see this movie or touch the books. My daughter and girl friends were trying to lure me in and I had continued to deny my self the indulgence that they were taking in. I even stated jokingly that it was a cult lol. That is till the very last minute that I told my husband Damione I won't be going to see,"Bolt" and thank God I wised up. Just to think that I almost denied myself the very indulgence what a shame that would have been. I'm running to Target tomorrow morning and purchasing the books. I hate that I didn't jump on the bandwagon sooner. Oh well, it's okay I saw the best movie of 2008 . It was great I went with my daughter and best friend Robin. It was a movie that left me wanting more. It was surely powerful and very intriguing. It left me wishing for a quick moment that my dear husband was a vampire. I may even think about a tattoo with bite marks on my neck. Just joking!!!! My favorite parts were when they were laying in the meadow side by side, her sleeping and he's staring right at her and she thinks she's dreaming, and last but not least he's laying on her be and she's sleeping on his chest. Sooo cute not that I would want my 16 year old daughter doing the same. Oh, wait one minute my other favorite part was towards the end when they are dancing. Love it!!! I should say the only thing that I did not like was the way she left her dad but from my understanding she had to leave that way. Can't wait for the next movie and to read the book.

The movie was excellent and the actors were phenomenal. I felt the powerfulness It was clean and left your imagination to do the rest of the work. What I liked most about going to see the movie was hearing and seeing the younger girls and teens take to the movie. They were shouting I love you Edmond and lots of O'ssssssssssss and ahhhhhhhhhh's. Again what a wonderful movie.

American Music Awards

Hot hot hot I love it! The dresses and studs the stars wore out on the red carpet just shouted. Shining bright bling that you may have well used shades to stop the brightness. Tonight was great at the AMA from flash back New Kids On The Block to Alicia Keys, NeYo, and country music. I am loving every bit of it and it's a shame I couldn't be a fill-in for seating. Top Star for me would be Byonce, Teen Princess' Taylor Swift, Miley Sirus and teen heart throb idols Jonas Brothers, Chris Brown, ect. were my girls high light for the night. America needs music it's what soothes our souls at least mine. Who doesn't love a good piece that up lifts your mood, or certain words bring you to a good cry that you thought was needed. There's a song for every mood y not love it.

Who Let The Dogs Out

Ok, if you know me you will know that dogs and I have a love hate relationship. Yes, I have shown up with a brand new dog and of course my husband and friends thought I clearly lost my mind but they are just sooooo darn cute. Take a look for your self the cute little Shitz "Tiffany " is ours, the black Lab "Maximillion" yes well he's ours to. That Golden Retriever "Bonnie" well she's not mine and poor old "Clyde" well he's sort of went MIA. Next we have,"Saboo" the American Staffer he's also known as the dog with all the Salsa. No he's not quite mine either, he actually belongs to my best friend Niki and last but not least we have "Bongo" the new addition and he's also a Staffer. Again not mine his owner is Niki.

In Honor of My Mother In-law

First I would just like to say that my husbands mother is just like my own mother. We are a very close and I love her with every part of my heart. She has been in my life since my childhood and has seen my husband and I grow together. I know I will always have her in my corner.
Every woman deserves a day of appreciation. Last night was a night of celebration not for I but for my mother in- law. She finally retired and in deserving was honored by her employer and colleagues with a beautiful sit down dinner. Patty, Pat as they call her (to me she's just plain old Ma) is retiring from the New York Friars Club. An invitation was extended to her family and I was just as honored to be a part of her special evening. You could see the sheer sadness in leaving old friends. All together they shared brief stories and reminisced on the, "Good Old Days". Each one will hold a place in her heart and vice verse. The atmosphere was fantastic, filled with laughter and tears.
The festivities were held at Fresco's and the food was superb. If you like Italian food then may I suggest a visit to this family owned restaurant. The food was outstanding and dessert may I say was exquisite. It will definitely bring you back home with it's feel of comfort and family pictures. I also found the decor to be polished with a touch of a modern fit. Five stars for me!!!!!!

How Sweet It Is 2 Be Loved By You

You can not ask for a more sweeter child then this one. A heart of gold is what lays beneath her and joy is what she brings to me. This is my angel during our annual Apple Picking day. We had a great time watching her climb up the trees. You will find my baby always helping out with her siblings carrying one of them when their tiered of walking through the orchard. What can I say I have the best children ever.

My baby Got her....

My beautiful daughter just passed her permit test. Yes, she did it!!! That's only a reminder for my husband and I that our little girl is getting older. My baby will soon be driving to school and practices on her own. I'm so proud of her!! Next thing coming for sure will be her car what excitement I can't wait. As scary as the thought of my child sharing the road with others is I am just going to have to put those out of my mind and just instill in her to be safe at the wheel and continue to ask God to guide and protect her. This pic truly is her.

It's Been A Long Time

Okay, so it's been a while but I am hoping to have some time at least for now. Since it seems that's the one thing I am lacking. Time at least my time is spent being the busy soccer mommy and happy wife. Although I love it, I just truly feel like I'm on the roaring rapid tides over the Colorado River. That's how I feel, never time for me!! But today that was just not the case. I can say it was gratifying. My children had off from school and my poor hubby worked a full day and me well I just took it slow. It was GREAT, GREAT, GREAT I SAY. I didn't do much at all just relaxed. Not that I was not thinking of all I have to do. Does laundry constitute as relaxing? Some humor here, OK maybe I did do a little bit of house work but for the most part I did just lay back and kick up my cute little legs. My darling daughter spent time with her younger brother and sister. I even had some time to read my new book. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh What A Feeling when your Dancing on the CEILING. Remember that one???

My hubby and I

Jesse

Jesse, how should I start you sweet little boy. I have told your mom how much I care for you and your little sister. Between us you have taken a little piece of my heart. Right now you're only five years old but some times you make laugh because I tend see a little old man. You have this movement you do with your head and lift your shoulders at the same time. You then let go of this smirk that just makes me see how sweet you are. It can almost make you get a bag of marsh mellows. Ha ha ha. That is exactly what happen this after noon. You little devil you:)0

As much as you can make me smile you can also make me ache that's due to me feeling how at times others like adults or children don't get you. To others they may see a child that is just being annoying when in fact they don't take the time to listen to what you are trying to say. Jesse, I hope you never let yourself become inverted because you are a very bright boy and deserve to be heard. Never let others put you down or use you as a door mat. You little one are far from that. Be assertive and always be determine in this world there is no room for quiters. So remember what your titi Sheress is going to tell you, "NEVER EVER QUIT and ALWAYS BE YOU". One more thing sweetie your mommy loves you and will always be by your side.

Maria, I will always be here for you and I hope by now you know my heart and shoulder are always available to you. I love you and the kids immensely.

My Dear Friend

It's not often in life that you encounter someone who is almost like you in many ways and then something strikes to make you so different. Mothering a child is one of the most important things you do in life. For the most part it is what makes us as women complete. Unfortunately not all of us are able to feel such beauty that lies within us. I have a very dear friend that cannot bare children and this is where we differ. I wish with all my heart that I could give her such a wonderful gift. The gift of life. I love this friend and truly wish I could do more than just offer support. How much support can one extend and how much more can my friend stand to hear, "Don't worry, I'm sorry, or I'm here for you"? She is so deserving of be allowed to mother. Why is God not hearing me? I have prayed for her and have asked him to please bless her. How is it that this one thing sets us from being so much alike? We are different in this one aspect and it breaks me to know that she pains so terribly. I no longer know how to comfort her nor do I know how to fix it. She's a vibrant woman who can make you laugh at a drop of a dime with her sarcasm and quick one liners. She's so loving and never judgemental of others. We actually fit like an old snug glove. Niki, te quero mucho and God has a plan. Please never for get that you are always in my thoughts and are dearly loved by me and your nieces. I will continue to pray with you.

That's My Answer

To play along with That's My Answer

What does being “forever young” mean to you?

Forever young meaning young at heart. We all seem to not want to age but the saying is accurate. You feel as young as you let yourself be. I hope to be that person that does not whine about her back in pain and needing all sorts of medication or wanting botox because lines will become apparent. You can allow yourself to be as young as you would like. Never think your aging in fact accept those laugh lines for pure joy and happiness. Wouldn't you prefer to have a line knowing you gained it through feeling a source of happiness & completeness. To me it's all about living life to the fullest and enjoying every bit of it, loving who you are and being content where you are as well. FOREVER YOUNG is that not what Rod Steward has been singing. lol

heads or tails

Doctor Doctor, gimme the news I got aBad case of lovin' youNo pill's gonna cure my ill I got aBad case of lovin' you.

Manic Monday

Every person you have ever slept with is invited to a banquet where you are the guest of honor. No one will be in attendance except you, the collection of your former lovers, and the catering service. After the meal, you are asked to give a fifteen-minute speech to the assembly. What do you talk about? What's your favorite thing to do on a rainy day?Are you a window person or an aisle person? Why?

Boy if I were the guest of honor and my lovers would have been there I would hope that they would say how amazing I was. I guess while the catering service was over hearing they would be so thrilled by speech that they wouldn't charge me for the food. After eating I would let the one person who I thought was the best know exactly how he made me feel. This would be my husband of course. I would say the other person could take notes. Being that my husband could teach a few tricks.
My favorite thing to do on a rainy day is just lay back in bed with my children and cuddle. Have my husband wrap me in his arms for some time. My children would watch some television or play while my husband makes love to me. I guess that's because he's great at what he does.
A aisle person of course. I love to feel the product in my hand. Texture means a lot too me.

Dads & Daughters

Splish Splash

It was just as titled with alot of splishing and splashing. Dh and I took the kids to Splish Splash down in Long Island on Saturday. Well it sure lives up to it's name. We went along with other members of our family who took their kids which made the day even better. The kids had a great time and not one argument. How could they. They were too busy running and getting soaked. A great place even for adults. Lots of laughs and a great time with our family.

My Princess and I

Friday was all about my youngest princess. I have four unique children so I am always trying to make time for each of them individualy. That's what this Friday was all about. Just sharing the day with one of my princess'.

As my family and close friends know I love visiting the city and Kit Kat loves it just as much as I do. We started our morning off with a one and a half our drive talking and listening to her favorite music. Yeah for Hannah Montana!!! Kit Kat adores her. The plan was to visit the Museum of Natural History. The smile on her face as we were walking through the building just touched me. She was taken back by the architecture and most of all those grand old dinosaur bones. My Kit Kat is a very emotional person and can just warm the coldest person in a matter of seconds. Her appreciation never goes unnoticed. Those are just one of the many things I love about my little princess. One memory that I will carry with me was our lunch on the steps of the Museum. She looked at me and said, "Mommy I love spending time with you". A word I always love as well as want to hear from my children. So my response back was, "Kit Kat thank you for spending time with me". You know the best part of this is, I love spending time with my daughter. I never feel like it's a task or part of the job. To me it's a joy and a time that is spent just bonding and learning more about my little one.

There were plenty of sharks which happens to be her favorite animal. Just like her daddy!! Of course tons of bones and plenty of artifacts. From there we hit Central Park where we shared a soft pretzel and chit chatted some more. Break dancers were dancing and we also so a man dressed in silver. He reminded Kit Kat of Willie Wonka. Our day ended with having a sketching done of my princess. A wonderful day with my beautiful little princess. I love you baby girl.
