Road Trip

Spider Monkey had to attend the open house at University Of Buffalo so we packed the car & cooler then  headed out. What an adventure it was leaving Friday at 12am and arriving at 7:15am.

It was a six hour drive going and Hunky made it straight through with only 3 potty breaks. I have to say the trip was a killer because of the long ride but we did have a great time together. It gave us time to talk with our baby who will be leaving us in about 10 months. Please hand the hankie over right about now lol.

Hunky, Spider Monkey and I were not at all impressed with the school. It seemed to us they lack security and the school itself did not represent itself well at all. We happen to be one of the early birds who were lost on campus because there were no flyers or information personnel to let us know where we should meet.

This school was give two stars out of five from us. One positive came out of this....my baby girl won't be living six hours away Wooooowhooooo.

Here are some pics from our little road trip.

First shot taken no make-up fresh out the shop 1am

Mellow Yellow Monday #37

Princess was smelling the flowers while waiting for the school bus. The funny thing is that right next to her was a slug so this picture captures her enjoying the flowers and not even a second later she jumped up and screamed. Funny how things can be so calm and in a split second it can change. I'm still laughing now.

Sunday Stealing Fall Meme 9/27/09

http://reesspace.blogspot.com/

I normally would never expose myself like this but I just couldn't resist.
This picture was taken yesterday after traveling for over six hours in the car.

We drove up to Buffalo so that my daughter could make it to Buffalo University's open house. Does the pic state my feeling of pure exhaustion? After leaving home Friday at 12:0am and returning Saturday at 8:00pm I was just beat and glad to reacquainted with my comfy bed.

Friday -56

http://storytimewithtonya.blogspot.com/

At least when I was a social failure, I had a conscience.

This read was in the young adult section. I purchased it for my daughters.
The 5th sentence alone is so strong can't wait to get started.

Dave Pelzer is the author of this book. He has also written,  A Child called "It".

My First Win

Oh my goodness I can't contain myself!!! As I am typing I'm laughing and enjoying the fact that I won my first Give Away at  http://reesspace.blogspot.com/. Lucky number 16 hey I might even play the numbers today lol. Another lucky winner and I get to pick any photo that we like and the company will convert it into a sticker poster.  Isn't that awesome?

I am going to go with a picture of my family so that my husband can stick it on his desk at work. His frames always seem to fall and break because of the piles of paper work and gadgets on his desk.

Wish it could be a normal thing just to go out onto my deck and scream, "Hey I Won, I Won"!
I had a hell of a week this week so this truly made my day. My weekend is off to a great start so please all enjoy your weekend.

Lather Up, Laugh It Up, And Have A Colorful Day

http://6a8a42a4.linkbucks.com/url/http://thursdaythunks.blogspot.comhttp://6a8a42a4.linkbucks.com/url/http://thursdaythunks.blogspot.com/
Welcome to the September 24th version of Thursday Thunks!

(which we always seem to post on Wednesday)
Where we make you think
a little bit before you blog!
This week we will answer some crazy questions brought to you by Kimber, the number 1172007 and the color of the walls in an asylum.

1. Does soap or shampoo have to really lather up for you to feel that it cleaned throughly?

Oh yes, if it does no lathering then I won't feel squeaky clean. Also I need to smell the soap on my body.  Crazy but it's Meeeeeee.

2. Do you have a long standing joke with someone that you still laugh about every time you talk to that person?

I would have to say yes to that one and it's pretty disgusting but we have laughs about it till this day.

3. Share something that happened to you this past week that was unusual.

Unusual let's see a very nice person offered to buy my tea in the morning. Now this is unusual because this has happened two times in one week by two different people.  I won't complain but next time I should try holding a sandwhich in my hand.

4. If you dropped a purple crayon and a green crayon off a roof, which would melt faster in the sun?

I'm going to run with the green.

5. You are standing in line (grocery store, bank, etc.), and someone gets in line behind you that stinks. The stink is so bad that people in line in front of you turn around and look to see if you are the one causing the stink. Do you cover your nose, hold your breath, breathe through your mouth or just get out of line altogether?

Knowing me I would turn around and look back as well. If the odor was really bad I would get off the line.

6. If you dropped your cell phone in the toilet, would you fish it out? If so, how much soap would you use to wash your hands afterwards?

If it's in my bathroom or some one that I know and know they are clean I would remove it. Ajax would most likely be my bf for a few hours.

7. Sydney Australia dust storm (link). How long do you think it would take you to clean your house after that sort of dust storm?

I don't know because I wouldn't be the one cleaning it. Cleaning service over here!!!!

8. Do you think you can dance?

Yes yes yes and yes.

9. You are out to eat and someone across the room is staring at you. Do you get paranoid, try to ignore them, or go find out why they are staring at you?

Not at all paranoid just put some more lip gloss and bat my eye lashes. If it's a woman I guess I'm wearing something nice and my hair looks good. If it's a male then it's a huge compliment.
